The Impact of the LEAD Program

The LEAD program is a leadership development program that builds power within the disabled Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) community.

LEAD has facilitated 3 cohorts for parents of children with disabilities.

LEAD has facilitated 3 cohorts for adults with disabilities.

LEAD has facilitated 2 cohorts for Spanish speaking parents of children with disabilities.

LEAD cohorts are designed to assist LEAD Leaders to become advocates for themselves, their children, and the disability community.

LEAD cohorts focus on providing education on disability history, the journey to disability pride, self-advocacy, developing an advocacy campaign, intersectionality, disability justice, and racial justice.
